Camp Lucy Vineyard Grape Harvest
GRAPE-HARVESTING, the “super bowl” of winemaking. Hidden along the rolling hills of Dripping Springs you will find one of the most beautiful, picturesque resorts in all of Texas, Camp Lucy Resort and Vineyard.
This year we were thrilled to be a part of their annual grape harvesting team of incredible fast working hands. Together we successfully harvested over 10 tons of grapes in two days that are currently being carefully processed and will be turned into delicious wines by Bending Branch Winery.
Agritourism is booming in Texas, making the Hill-Country home to the second most visited wine region in the U.S. and the fifth-largest wine producer in the Country. With more than 400 wineries and over 5000 acres of vineyards spread across our state Camp Lucy’s delicious grapes with the help of Bending Branch Winery, who use innovative winemaking processes such as Cryo-Maceration and Thermoflash to improve color; structure, and the taste of Texas red wines are scaling this beautiful small vineyard to one of the best in the region.
